Ministries
Worship is the beginning for everything that happens at Clifton UMC. We are a small congregation but we have a large heart with mission. That is where we celebrate life and life together in Spirit.
At 11:00 AM every Sunday morning, we offer our praise and worship. Our music ministry helps lead us in worship by sharing its considerable musical gifts with congregation. The liturgy varies depending on the season of the church year and we follow the liturgical and lectionary.
During the church year, we observe special of worship such as Ash Wednesday with the Imposition of Ashes, Holy Lenten season we participate in Lenten Vespers.
Our Outreach Ministry consists of a group of people who desire to serve Christ using their spiritual gifts, natural abilities, learned skill, and talents for service within the church and missions outside of the church. Every believer should be involved in ministry-serving and caring for others. At Clifton there are plenty of opportunities to fulfill your God given purpose. Share the gifts God has given you! Our goals are to continue to be a working vessel in the church and the community.
The Witness Ministry will work toward sharing our faith and speaking the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is important that we reach people of all genders, the young, older adults and the unfortunate beyond our church boundaries and in our community with the sick and shut-in. We must share our faith and services with others Christian. We will meet this challenge through our Sunday worship service, bible study, Sunday school and revival.
The Nurture Division encourages somebody or something to grow, develop, thrive, and be successful. In keeping with the spirit of our church mission statement, the Nurture division work as a whole with each unit supporting other for the total spiritual development.
